Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup molasses
  • 2 ½ cups flour
  • ¾ cups lard
  • ¾ cups butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp (baking) soda dissolved in cup cold water
  • 1 tsp ginger
  • 1 tsp cloves
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

Instructions
 

  • Bake in slow oven and leave in pan until cold.
