
Gingerbread
Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup molasses
- 2 ½ cups flour
- ¾ cups lard
- ¾ cups butter
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp (baking) soda dissolved in cup cold water
- 1 tsp ginger
- 1 tsp cloves
- 1 tsp cinnamon
Instructions
- Bake in slow oven and leave in pan until cold.
