Ingredients
  

  • ¼ cup butter
  • ¾ cups sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 ½ cups flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • raisins to taste
  • cinnamon

Instructions
 

  • Cream one-fourth of a cupful of butter, three-fourths of a cupful of sugar, one egg; add one cupful of milk, two and one-half cupfuls of flour in which two teaspoons of baking powder have been sifted. Beat smooth, then add as many raisins as desired and bake in two pie tins.
  • When the top has begun to crust over, brush with melted butter and sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Bake a golden brown.
