Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup fresh milk
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • speck salt
  • a few grains nutmeg
  • 1 tbsp rum

Instructions
 

  • Beat yolk, add sugar, salt and nutmeg; add milk and rum.

Notes

For consumptives, taken at about 6 a. m., often prevents the exhaustive sweats which accompany the morning doze. Also may be given to a patient before dressing to prevent exhaustion.
